Abstract
CII’s Partnering Best Practice has been shown to be one of the most important elements to implement on a project. Projects intensely implementing this CII Best Practice attain, on average, a 9.1% cost improvement over projects that implement it less intensely. This refreshed course focuses on the application of the Partnering process model. The course is designed for those who are interested in Partnering as a viable tool for managing engineering and construction projects; the focus is on how to apply the Partnering Model to a specific situation. Partnering is a valuable project management tool that can support a substantial decrease in engineering and construction cost and schedule. As with any tool, Partnering must be understood and tailored to the specific application and this education module is designed to promote that understanding.
