Awad Hanna
Awad Hanna is the BOLDT Company Professor and Chair of the Construction Engineering and Management Program within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He also is the director of the Construction and Materials Support Center in partnership with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
Dr. Hanna’s primary research interest is the intersection of productivity at the labor, project, and organizational level, an area in which he is an internationally acclaimed thought leader. The Critical Review of Labor Productivity in Construction Journals ranked him the most productive researcher worldwide in this field.
CII has benefitted from this energy, as Hanna has been a principal investigator on seven CII research projects. In 2006, CII recognized Dr. Hanna with its Outstanding Researcher Award for his work on risk allocation, and his work on Research Team 334 received the Best Presentation award. Currently, he serves as the academic advisor to CII’s Downstream and Chemical Sector Committee.
